Thanksgiving Reflection

November 25, 2009
by The Dinners for Life Team

As the Thanksgiving holiday comes and goes and we ready ourselves for peak holiday season, take a moment to reflect on the spirit of a holiday that is gradually being lost between the “hoopla” of Halloween and Christmas.

Many folks with diabetes panic, become scared, depressed or choose to ignore reality because of the food challenges the holidays present, starting with Thanksgiving. Now is a good time to reflect on the positive steps that you have taken to improve health and reaffirm your commitment to better health and well controlled blood sugars.

Remember, by taking care of yourself you are being respectful and grateful for the health you have today and you are taking steps to improve your health for the future.
